Hi, I’m Emily LaFleur-Brewster. I’m a Deaf writer, content creator, and photographer based in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. I’m also a wife and mother of two children.
I have always loved writing, photography, and connecting with people. Photography has been part of my life since I was 12 years old, and I have owned my photography business for more than 10 years. Along the way, I’ve met many wonderful people and gained experiences that have helped shape who I am today.
My first published article, “Glanmore Celebrates Sign Language of Canada,” was made possible with the support of Bay of Quinte. That opportunity encouraged me to explore my passion for writing in a new way.
My background in photography has taught me that there is often more behind a picture than what we first see. Now, I’m bringing my love of photography and writing together as I begin a new creative chapter.
I’m starting small, learning as I go, and looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me.

My goal is to create meaningful content that helps people learn something new, see different perspectives, and connect through storytelling.
